Vanguard Parking Solutions Inc. uses license-plate surveillance technology and unreadable one-sided contracts to coerce consumers into payment traps without an avenue for dispute resolution, a newly filed proposed class action alleged.
The company, which contracts with garages around the DC-metro area to provide parking enforcement, operates “gateless” technology in parking garages that uses camera and computer visions to read vehicle license plates.
