United Surgical Partners Cleared for 401(k) Fee Class Settlement

United Surgical Partners International Inc. finalized a $1.475 million class settlement with workers challenging their 401(k) plan fee levels.

The agreement is expected to provide more than 16,600 participants in the United Surgical plan with about 28% of their best-case estimated damages. Judge Brantley Starr granted final approval to the deal and awarded class counsel more than $500,000 in fees and costs in a pair of orders issued Thursday in the US District Court for the Northern District of Texas.
