Target Workers Reach Nearly $2 Million Deal to End Wage Lawsuit

Target Corp. workers denied pay for time spent walking to their job stations asked a federal judge for initial approval of a $1.85 million deal to resolve their dispute.

The total settlement fund represents almost 150% of the overtime payments Target allegedly owes the workers, according to a memo filed Thursday as part of the preliminary settlement approval bid in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. The workers said they’ll recover 95% of their unpaid wages even after deducting attorneys’ fees and other costs.
