Same-Sex Saudi Arabian Couple Revives Suit Against Lufthansa

Deutsche Lufthansa AG must face a lawsuit from a Saudi Arabian same-sex couple who allege the airline violated its privacy policy by outing their marital status, compromising their ability to return to the country.

A US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit panel, in a ruling Thursday, determined that a California federal district court has jurisdiction to hear the couple’s lawsuit because they were traveling from Saudi Arabia to San Francisco with the airline.
