The Trump administration and New York City magnet schools agreed to let the schools access $11 million in funding while a federal judge mulls whether the administration can pull future funding over the schools’ transgender student policies.
But Judge Arun Subramanian of the US District Court for the Southern District of New York seemed unconvinced by the administration’s argument that its decision to discontinue five-year Magnet Schools Assistance Program grants isn’t subject to judicial review under Title IX.
