Bold Ltd. has been sued in federal court by a competitor that claims the company monopolizes the market for online resume-building platforms and foreclosed rivals from competing on Google search results through exclusionary tactics.
Rocket Resume Inc. alleges Bold manages a complex web of sham entities to dominate the market and weaponizes litigation to eliminate or absorb competitors, according to a complaint in the US District Court for the Northern District of California.
Bold operates job-seeking site entities including monster.com, and careerbuilder.com.
