Prime Minister Mark Carney named former BlackRock Inc. executive Mark Wiseman as Canada’s ambassador to the US, tapping an experienced investment manager to handle relations with the Trump administration ahead of major trade talks.
Wiseman’s appointment was announced Monday, confirming a Dec. 9 report by Bloomberg News. He succeeds Kirsten Hillman, who has been ambassador since 2019 and has announced she’s stepping down in the new year.
