Paramount-WBD Deal Will Receive Congress’ Scrutiny: Sen. Booker

Sen. Cory Booker says his office will announce plans “in the days ahead” to exercise oversight and scrutinize the proposed merger between Paramount and Warner Bros. Discovery, according to a statement.

• “I intend to exercise Congress’ oversight authority and scrutinize this deal just as we did the Netflix transaction,” says Booker, a member of the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Antitrust, Competition Policy, and Consumer Rights
