President Donald Trump has tapped Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and New York Yankees President Randy Levine to co-lead a council that will explore ways to overhaul college sports, according to people familiar with the matter.
The new commission will also include New England Patriots President Jonathan Kraft, National Basketball Association Commissioner Adam Silver, former University of Alabama football coach Nick Saban, and Gerry Cardinale, the founder of RedBird Capital Partners, the people said on Thursday night, requesting anonymity to discuss plans that aren’t yet public.
