Cursor, an artificial intelligence coding startup, is releasing a new version of its popular AI assistant that’s designed to carry out more complicated software development tasks from start to finish, rivaling products from OpenAI and Anthropic.
The San Francisco-based company is set to unveil a new AI model on Wednesday called Composer that can be used to create an app from scratch that sells custom-designed cookies or solve a thorny software bug. Composer is expected to carry out these actions largely on its own, the company said.
