OpenAI Copyright Cases’ Discovery Consolidated in New York (2)

Pretrial activity for a dozen copyright cases against OpenAI Inc. will be consolidated in the Southern District of New York over the objection of several author and news organization plaintiffs.

The order from the US Judicial Panel on Multi-District Litigation Thursday combines in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York two previously-consolidated cases, two other New York cases, and four cases from the Northern District of California.
