Employer Pay Data Collection Emerges in Biden Rules Plan (2)

The US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission plans to issue a proposed rule next year on collecting compensation data from employers, according to the Biden administration’s newly released regulatory agenda.

If the proposal goes forward (RIN:3046-AB15), it could set the groundwork for reviving a controversial Obama-era requirement for large businesses to annually submit their pay data by race, sex, and job category to the EEOC.
