Goldman’s Ruemmler to Stay On as Senior Counselor, Solomon Says

Kathy Ruemmler, the top Goldman Sachs Group Inc. lawyer who had resigned over her interactions with Jeffrey Epstein, will take on the title of senior counselor as she remains at the bank.

Ruemmler “has agreed to continue in an advisory role as senior counselor until such time as a new chief legal officer is appointed,” Chief Executive Officer David Solomon wrote in a note to staff on Tuesday. “Kathy will continue to be involved in certain ongoing legal matters and to support the firm and the executive office during this time of transition.”
