Labor Department’s New Acting Wage and Hour Chief Named

The Labor Department’s Wage and Hour Division has a new acting leader. Keith Sonderling, previously the senior policy adviser for the WHD, will take over as the acting administrator, the DOL’s website indicated Feb. 1.

Sonderling was expected to be the replacement for previous acting official Bryan Jarrett, who left at the end of 2018 to take a private sector job with a tech company in California. The agency is still waiting on the Senate confirmation for Cheryl Stanton to be the permanent head of the WHD.
