Musk, X Corp. Face $500 Million Suit Over Twitter Severance (1)

The former Twitter employee responsible for compensation and benefits sued Elon Musk and Twitter successor X Corp., saying thousands of workers were wrongly denied full severance in the aftermath of Musk’s takeover of the company.

About 6,000 Twitter employees laid off since November 2022 haven’t received the benefits they were entitled to under the company’s severance plan, plaintiff Courtney McMillian said in a complaint filed Wednesday in the US District Court for the Northern District of California.
