UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer to Visit India Next Week (1)

Keir Starmer will make his first official visit to India on Oct. 8, at the invitation of India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi, according to a statement from country’s Ministry of External Affairs.

The leaders will meet in Mumbai to discuss the progress of the India-UK Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, an initiative designed to increase cooperation between the UK and India across a range of issues, and engage with businesses and industry leaders following a free trade trade agreement struck by the two countries in July, when Modi visited the UK.
