Albany Diocese Insurers Failed to Show Standing in Bankruptcy

A group of insurers in a New York Catholic diocese bankruptcy saw their requests for standing to object to claims denied because their rights and financial responsibility can’t be determined until a plan is filed or they admit liability.

London Market Cos., Certain Underwriters at Lloyd’s London, Hartford Accident and Indemnity Co., and Hartford Fire Insurance Co. filed motions to seal and to disallow several Roman Catholic Diocese of Albany creditor claims in June and July.
