Argentina Short-Term Repo Rate Falls to 119% in Early Trading

Argentine short-term interest rates slid from record highs in early trading Thursday, with the overnight collateralized peso repo rate — known locally as caucion — falling to 119% from 157% at the close of the previous session.

  • The rate hit an intraday record of more than 170% on Wednesday, soaring for a second day from 115% on Tuesday
