A group of Boy Scouts of America sex abuse claimants sought to terminate legal and contingency fee agreements with Slater Slater Schulman LLP, accusing the mass tort law firm of deceiving thousands about the treatment of their claims.
The Slater firm, which represented roughly 14,600 child sex abuse claimants in the Boy Scouts bankruptcy case, has failed to meet legal and ethical client obligations while standing to collect tens of millions of dollars in contingency fees, according to a motion filed Tuesday in the US Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
