Former plastics recycling company Brightmark Plastics Renewal LLC struck settlements with its parent company and secured bondholders to distribute funds from an asset sale and move its bankruptcy towards closure.
Under the settlement, UMB Bank NA, a trustee for the company’s primary secured bondholders, would receive $3.7 million from the company’s asset sale last year and keep $415,000 in disputed funds, according to a motion filed Thursday in the US Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
The buyer, Brightmark Plastics Ashley Holdco LLC, would receive nearly $2.8 million under the deal.
