Compass Inc.is dropping its lawsuit over a ban by home-search site Zillow Group Inc. on certain new listings, ending a months-long legal fight in a New York federal court over how homes are marketed and sold.
Compass, the largest real estate brokerage in the US, said in a court filing Wednesday that its suit was being voluntarily dismissed, a month after a judge denied the company’s request to temporarily block Zillow from refusing to list homes that have been advertised elsewhere first.
