FTX Trust Ends $50 Million Suit Against African Fintech Firm

FTX Trading Ltd.'s bankruptcy trust recovering funds to pay back creditors dropped its suit against an African fintech company and several subsidiaries and executives.

The lawsuit, brought by the trust in July, sought to recover $50 million from AZA Finance, alleging it engaged in a scheme to defraud FTX through a demerger plan. The trust voluntarily dismissed the suit Dec. 3 in the US Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

The suit was part of the trust’s efforts to recover funds for the fallen crypto exchange’s creditors.
