Mexican President to Meet Creditors Fighting Magnate Salinas (1)

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaumwill meet with US creditors of a company controlled by billionaire and political opponent Ricardo Salinas Pliego.

“We are going to meet with them, I think next week, we are looking for a date,” Sheinbaum said Tuesday during her daily press conference.

Sheinbaum has repeatedly criticized Salinas in recent weeks for a series of alleged debts his companies owe, including unpaid taxes worth up to 74 billion pesos ($4 billion.)
