Yellow Corp. urged a judge to approve settlements with multiemployer pension plans aimed at resolving billions of dollars in disputed withdrawal liability claims, despite pushback from the bankrupt freight carrier’s largest shareholder.
Judge Craig T. Goldblatt of the US Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware said at the end of a seven-hour hearing Wednesday that he would try to issue a decision promptly.
“I have work to do,” Goldblatt said. “I’ll make a decision as soon as I can.”
