Absent New Jersey Republican Returning to House at End of June

Rep. Tom Kean (R-N.J.) will return to the House at the end of June after missing over three months of votes due to an unspecified medical issue.

Dan Scharfenberger, Kean’s chief of staff, told Bloomberg Government Kean will return June 30. The New Jersey Globe first reported his return date.

Kean has missed House votes since March 5. His office said at the beginning of the month he would return to in-person work in a “matter of weeks” but did not provide any details regarding his health issue.
