Agriculture-FDA Funding Bill Passed by House Lawmakers (1)

The House passed a $26.3 billion funding bill for the Agriculture Department and the Food and Drug Administration on Thursday as lawmakers look to approve a slate of must-pass spending measures in the coming weeks.

The bill (H.R. 8646), which passed in a 213-210 vote, would provide 1.4% less than fiscal 2026 levels.

Five Republicans voted against the bill: Reps. Rob Bresnahan (Pa.), Brian Fitzpatrick (Pa.), Thomas Massie (Ky.), Tom McClintock (Calif.), and Greg Steube (Fla.).

Four Democrats backed it, including Reps. Don Davis (N.C.), Vicente Gonzalez (Texas), Adam Gray (Calif.), and Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (Wash.).
