AI Framework Should Be Priority for Congress, Trump Adviser Says

The US must develop a national artificial intelligence regulatory framework to help ensure the country’s dominance over the booming industry, President Donald Trump’s chief tech and science adviser told lawmakers.

The White House has moved over the past six months to execute its so-called AI Action Plan, but American innovators need “regulatory clarity and certainty,” and Congress must step in to deliver that, said Michael Kratsios, the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy director.
