AI Teacher Training Grants Need Funding, Advocates Tell Congress

Congressional appropriators must fully fund teacher training grants on artificial intelligence to help educate students on the emerging technology critical to their futures, a group of technology and education advocacy nonprofits says.

“The need for a nationwide effort to integrate AI in education and train both teachers and students on this new technology is more pressing than ever,” the organizations, which included the Americans for Responsible Innovation, InnovateEDU, and the National School Boards Association, wrote in a letter Monday to leaders of the House and Senate appropriations committees’ education panels, according to a copy first obtained by Bloomberg Government.
