Amentum Properly Axed From $840 Million Iraq Embassy Procurement

The US Department of State reasonably eliminated Amentum Services Inc. from an $840 million task order competition to provide support services at the US embassy in Baghdad and other locations in Iraq, the Government Accountability Office said.

Amentum protested after the department eliminated its proposal for failing to include an Iraq business license for a proposed subcontractor.

Amentum argued that one of its proposed subcontractors, subcontractor A, was teaming with another firm called subcontractor Y, which had the required license. Subcontractor A would be performing logistical support in the US, and subcontractor Y would be performing in Iraq, Amentum said. ...
