Top Appropriators Near Top-Line Spending Agreement
Lawmakers are close to a bipartisan top-line funding agreement, but House Republicans still plan to vote on a stopgap to fund the government beyond March 14.
A top-line funding deal is “imminent,” House Appropriations ranking member Rosa DeLauro (D-Conn.) told reporters yesterday afternoon. House Appropriations Chair Tom Cole (R-Okla.) also said a deal was near, and Senate Appropriations Vice Chair Patty Murray (D-Wash.) said she expects an announcement soon.
