Ballroom Security Funds Might Require Another Bill, Graham Says

Senate Budget Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham said Republicans could use a future reconciliation bill to pass security funding for President Donald Trump’s ballroom project if they can’t tweak the current measure to pass procedural muster.

“The problem is, it’s not that it can’t be put in reconciliation, you’d have to instruct more committees, which would derail funding for ICE and border,” Graham (R-S.C.) told Bloomberg Government Monday, in response to the Senate parliamentarian’s weekend ruling that the spending didn’t comply with the strict rules of the party-line procedure Republicans are using.
