BGOV Bill Analysis: H.R. 7613, Aviation Safety Requirements

Certain civilian and military aircraft would be required to install and use “collision prevention” technology by Dec. 31, 2031, under H.R. 7613, which also would allow the Defense Department to retain the authority to decide which technology is installed on its aircraft.

It would require the technology to have Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) In, use ADS-B data, and provide audible alerts to the pilots and crew.
