Senate Republicans are moving ahead with legislation to fund immigration enforcement efforts through the end of President Donald Trump’s second term.
The draft reconciliation measure, released May 4 by Senate committees, would provide $71.7 billion to the Homeland Security and Justice departments, with most of the money going to Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Customs and Border Protection.
