Lawmakers left for a two-week recess after clearing for President Donald Trump three more disapproval resolutions that would use the Congressional Review Act to block Biden-era rules:

  • S. J. Res. 28, which would block the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s rule expanding oversight over larger, nonbank digital consumer payment platforms (see BGOV Bill Analysis).
  • S. J. Res. 18, which would overturn the CFPB rule capping overdraft fees large financial institutions can charge (see BGOV Bill Analysis).
