Biden Coal Ash Rule Draws Latest GOP Federal Overreach Rebuke

Senate Republicans are seeking to overturn a Biden administration rule that imposes more restrictions on power plants to dispose of coal ash safely.

Sen. Markwayne Mullin (R-Okla.) will introduce a disapproval resolution Wednesday under the Congressional Review Act. The resolution is congressional Republicans’ latest attempt to target what they view as the federal government’s environmental overreach on everything from gas-powered vehicles to fossil-fuel power plants.
