Biden Health Agency Sued Over Covid-19 Vaccine Injury Process

The outgoing Biden administration is being sued for not adding Covid-19 vaccines to a federal program to pay out people injured during routine immunization.

Filed Thursday, the lawsuit alleges US Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra violated federal law when he missed the deadline to add Covid-19 vaccines to the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program. HHS leaders can add vaccines to the program’s table two years after the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends them for routine administration for people 18 and under.
