Biotech Panel Presses For $15 Billion to Blunt China’s Advance

The US government should spend at least $15 billion over the next five years to unlock private capital and investment in the biotechnology sector to blunt China’s rapid surge in the field, a biotechnology commission said Tuesday.

The congressionally-mandated National Security Commission on Emerging Biotechnology made the recommendations in its final report.
