Blackwater Pushes to Outmaneuver Other DHS Security Vendors

Securitas and GEO Group could lose out on market share for providing security-related services to the Homeland Security Department if a $25 billion proposal by former Blackwater CEO Erik Prince results in contracts to Constellis Holdings LLC, the parent firm of Academi, a later name for Blackwater.

Securitas and GEO Group are the two largest DHS security contractors, while Constellis is the third largest, according to an analysis of Bloomberg Government contracting data.
