The 10 largest federal government contractors, including Lockheed Martin Corp., Boeing Co. and RTX Corp., shelled out a combined $83.2 million on federal lobbying last year on a range of policy issues including appropriations and taxes.
The lobbying expenditures offer a glimpse at the contractors’ influence efforts in Washington, as detailed in lobbying disclosures filed to Congress. The amount spent on lobbying, though, is relatively puny when compared to the aggregate value of their government contracts, more than $225 billion, according to Bloomberg Government data.
