Border Agency’s Care of Migrant Children Draws Senate Scrutiny

A bipartisan Senate duo is launching an investigation into the care of migrant children in federal facilities, the latest congressional review of immigrant detention conditions.

Sens. Jon Ossoff (D-Ga.) and Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.), the top members of the Judiciary Human Rights Subcommittee, announced the effort Tuesday, citing reports of dangerous conditions for children held by US Customs and Border Protection while they await processing at the border.
