A California Privacy Protection Agency board member said Friday he was removed from the agency by California Assembly Speaker Robert Rivas (D).
Vinhcent Le said in an interview with Bloomberg Government that he was informed by Rivas’ office that they wanted to move in a different direction and his termination was effective immediately.
Le most recently worked as a technology equity attorney at the Greenlining Institute, which advocates for racial equity. He was appointed in 2021 by former Speaker Anthony Rendon (D) as the agency formed and was the second-longest serving member on the board of five.
