California Republican Who Voted to Impeach Trump Wins Reelection

Republican incumbent David Valadao defeated Democrat Rudy Salas in the race for California’s 22nd Congressional District, CNN and NBC projected.

Valadao is a dairy farmer representing a Hispanic-majority district that previously backed President Joe Biden. He is one of the last Republicans remaining in the House who voted to impeach Donald Trump in 2021.
