California Compels Social Media to Add Mental Health Warning (1)

Social media companies such as Meta Platforms Inc. will have to post warning labels on mental-health risks under a bill signed Monday by California Gov. Gavin Newsom.

The measure (AB 56) by Assemblymember Rebecca Bauer-Kahan (D) requires platforms to display a warning each time an underage user accesses the site, then after three hours of use, and hourly thereafter.
