Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-La.) highlighted the challenges in treating mental health and substance use as the Trump administration seeks to dismantle the lead behavioral health agency and eliminate several lines of funding.

With just ten days to go before his competitive primary in which President Donald Trump has endorsed one of his opponents, the chair of the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee convened a field hearing Wednesday with behavioral health experts who discussed issues related to insurance coverage, workforce, and telehealth.
