Will Hurd, a former CIA undercover officer who went on to win election as a Texas congressman, is joining defense startup Chaos Industries.
Hurd will serve as chief strategy officer, Chaos said Tuesday. The Los Angeles-based company, which raised $70 million last year in a Series A funding round led by Joe Lonsdale’s 8VC, is working on detection, monitoring and communications technologies. Its Vanquish radar provides early warning and tracking capabilities against drones, missiles and aircraft.
