The Transportation Security Administration is partnering with the technology company Clear Secure Inc. to boost enrollment in the agency’s PreCheck airport security program.
TSA announced the partnership Tuesday, allowing CLEAR to sign up low-risk travelers for the fast-tracked screening process that allows individuals to keep shoes on and keep laptops and liquids in their bags at security checkpoints.
CLEAR joins two other tech companies, IDEMIA and Telos Corp., authorized to enroll PreCheck members. TSA has been working for years to expand the program to reduce wait times at airports.
