The Trump administration will soon propose regulations aimed at holding all higher education institutions accountable for how much their graduates earn after completing their programs, while doing away with a Biden-era rule that put extra scrutiny on for-profit colleges.
Draft language is expected as early as this month for a new test known as “Do No Harm,” requiring schools to prove their graduates are better off financially compared to workers without that degree or credential. Failure would result in those programs being cut off from accessing federal loans.
