Congress’ #MeToo Moment Prompts Key Democrat to Push for Change

The leader of the Democratic Women’s Caucus is pressing for bipartisan action to address sexual harassment in the House before the August recess, as lawmakers reel from allegations of misconduct that led two members to resign last week.

“What’s important is that we change two things here: One is we need to change the law, the rules, and second is we need to change the culture,” Rep. Teresa Leger Fernández (D-N.M.) said in an interview Wednesday.
