Lawmakers clinched a deal on their last set of spending bills as Congress races to fund the government by the Jan. 30 deadline.
The bills would fund Defense, Labor-HHS-Education, Transportation-HUD, and Homeland Security programs through the remainder of fiscal 2026. The last measures make up the bulk of discretionary spending, with about $1.2 trillion of such spending provided by the bill.
