Congress Votes to Block EV Charger Rule, Baiting Biden Veto

The House passed a measure Thursday to stop the Biden administration from temporarily allowing the use of foreign-made materials for government-funded electric vehicle chargers.

The measure now heads to President Joe Biden’s desk for an expected veto. The resolution (S.J. Res 38), which the House passed in a 209-198 vote, would block a rule from the Federal Highway Administration that waives “Buy America” requirements for steel, iron, manufactured products, and construction materials used in chargers this year.
